During a free consultation, you will be able to meet with us face-to-face in order to discuss your project proposals and feasibility. By gaining a thorough understanding of your needs, we will provide you with detailed information on the processes involved and the permissions required, along with a written quotation that is tailored to your project.

We will visit your property and undertake a measured survey. Our measurements are based on the property’s current state. Following a detailed survey of your property, our architects will produce a set of existing layouts and elevations within a set timeframe. Your design brief will be interpreted by an architect during the meeting.

We will create the proposed layouts and elevations once we have discussed your goals and requirements in detail.
When the first draft drawings are ready, we will invite you to a design meeting.
To achieve the most efficient and elegant design outcome, we will convey the client’s aspirations and visions through a concept design. Afterwards, we’ll produce the final layouts and elevations of the project for you to approve. Drawings can either be amended or accepted at this stage. Upon approval, we can proceed to planning (if your project requires it) and then production of building regulations drawings.

Your existing home, its location, and the design you choose will determine whether or not you need planning permission. Planning permission can be a complicated and daunting process. However, we can help you navigate the planning process with our expert knowledge. Having worked with the various planning offices in Sussex, we know what to do. This gives our clients peace of mind knowing their project is in good hands. Although we will do our best to obtain the planning permission, we cannot guarantee the approval of all the plans we submit.

Following your approval of the final design plans, a third-party structural engineer will produce the required structural calculations for you project. The structural calculations ensure the proposed design is safe and are necessary for the building regulations.

Building regulations drawings are technical plans which are necessary for Building Regulations Approval. These plans show how the proposed build will meet the current standards. Once the building regulations plans have been approved the building control application can be submitted. Your chosen construction company will be able to start work after a decision has been issued from building control.
