Coastline Architects is a Sussex practice helping homeowners and organisations turn complicated briefs, buildings and approvals into clear, buildable projects. We combine thoughtful design with a strong understanding of planning, technical delivery and construction.

Commercial projects often need more than a strong concept. They need coordinated information, careful administration and someone who can keep the project moving. We support clients through design, approvals, technical delivery, procurement and construction, including project management and NEC4 contract administration where required. We work across Sussex and Hampshire.

Our residential service covers feasibility, design, planning and Building Regulations, with clear guidance throughout. We work across East and West Sussex, broadly from Brighton to Chichester.

Whether it is a family home or a commercial development, the approach is the same: listen carefully, work out what actually matters, resolve the practical constraints and set out a clear route forward. We value honest advice, responsive communication and designs that are ambitious without losing sight of budget, buildability or the people who will use the finished building. 

HOW THE PRACTICE STARTED

Coastline Architects was founded at the end of 2022 and incorporated in 2025. The first project was a 1930s Art Deco house in Worthing whose owners wanted light and a ground floor that worked — it is still one of the projects we are most pleased with, and you can see it in our work.

Our studio is on New Broadway in Worthing, with the drawings in the window and the kettle on. You are welcome to call in, or book a Feasibility Study and we will come to you.
