Coastline Architects is a RIBA Chartered Practice based in Worthing, led by architect Elizabeth. We bring together architectural design, technical expertise and construction experience to guide projects from their first ideas through to clear, buildable solutions.
Our work spans homes across East and West Sussex and commercial projects across Sussex and Hampshire. Whatever the scale, clients get thoughtful design, honest advice and a practical understanding of what it takes to deliver a project that actually gets built.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth founded Coastline Architects and leads its design work, client relationships and commercial oversight. She has more than a decade of experience across residential, commercial and education projects, and has contributed to the transformation of more than 250 homes — from careful reconfigurations and extensions to bespoke new houses. She takes particular pleasure in turning what a family actually needs into spaces that feel personal and work in everyday life, and in getting difficult schemes through planning. Outside the studio she travels, plays tennis, snowboards and walks a great deal.
John
John joined Coastline Architects as a consultant in 2024, bringing with him the clients and four decades of experience he built at Novi Projects, the practice he founded in 1982. After graduating from Southampton University he worked for civil engineering contractors on motorways, industrial plants, factories and offices, and has since led substantial education and industrial projects. His structured approach keeps the practice’s technical standards high and its project procedures robust, particularly on commercial and NEC work. He is a member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
ISOBEL
Isobel works across residential, commercial and education projects, supporting the practice through design and planning while completing her Master’s degree in Architecture, which she expects to finish in 2027. She is working towards qualifying as a RIBA Chartered Architect. Outside work and study she travels, and volunteers with vulnerable groups in her local area.
ALEXANDRA
Alexandra joined Coastline Architects in 2025, having completed her Bachelor of Architecture the year before. She works across the full range of the practice’s projects, from survey and design development through to the drawings that go to planning, while studying for her Master’s degree in Architecture. Like Isobel, she is working towards qualifying as a RIBA Chartered Architect. Outside work she draws, plays the piano and hikes.
