Crawley Winery 2021

Our large £7million winery project was completed in November 2021. It involved approximately 1,700sqm of extensions to the original building, resulting in a new total of 12,500sqm.

The extensions catered for additional temperature-controlled storage for bottles of wine and new stainless-steel tanks for fermentation. In addition to the new services for the extensions, services in the existing building were also upgraded to improve the overall operation of the winery.

The project duration was 24 months and during that time, we set up weekly coordination meetings between the client and contractor, allowing the client to maintain ongoing production with the minimum of interference. These meetings proved to be very successful and the changes we were able to implement have allowed the business to grow and produce the quantities necessary to fulfil their increasing demand.

Bohunt Sixth Form

Equipped with 22 teaching spaces including science rooms, music studios, an IT suite, and lecture theatre, the new three-storey building is specifically tailored to meet the needs of its A-Level students and has been praised for its state-of-the-art facilities.

The final account was agreed a week after completion thanks to the use of the NEC form of contract and were able to save £80,000 on the tender price.

Bohunt Sports Hall

Built alongside the new science block at Bohunt school is a new multi-purpose hall. Due to the schools increase in student numbers, this space provides additional sporting facilities for netball, basketball, volleyball, and includes 4 badminton courts.

Bohunt Classroom blocks

Also known as ‘iBlock’, the new two-storey classroom building features an impressive light-filled atrium space with a total area of 750sqm. The design brief involved squeezing 7 classrooms into a space surrounded by existing buildings and this therefore created the challenge to design comfortably sized teaching rooms that would not compromise existing pathways.

Bohunt School’s continual growth in student numbers required additional classrooms to accommodate the increase in demand.

The new two-storey classroom block includes 6 Science rooms, 2 IT Suites and 4 general use classrooms. The design of the building was simplified to prioritise expenses for the functional and spacious classrooms.
